Amazon’s business to business (B2B) platform has been rapidly growing since it was launched in 2015. The B2B site has millions of active business customers and is on pace to surpass $10 billion in sales. The largest industrial distributer, WW. Grainger Inc., is expected to bring in $11.3 Billion in sales this year. About 1/5 of Grainger’s sales come from products that are sourced from China. With U.S. tariffs on Chinese products, industrial suppliers like Grainger are faced with a tough road ahead.
In a blog post earlier this month, Amazon stated that in the U.S. alone, Amazon Business serves
nearly 80% of the 100 largest enrollment education organizations
55 of the Fortune 100 companies
more than half of the 100 biggest hospital systems
more than 40% of the 100 most populous local governments
Currently Amazon Business is available in the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, Japan, India, France, Italy and Spain. If business discounts or bulk sales are common in your business, be sure to be tapping Amazon Business for its capabilities.
