Cyber Monday & Black Friday Deals Deadlines

Q4 is rapidly approaching, which means the deadlines for submitting Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals are coming up quick! Deadlines for submitting a deal for Black Friday or Cyber Monday vary. One category said that Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals must be submitted by September 21. Another category said that their deadline is October 5, 2018. Be sure to check Vendor Central for the deadline in your category.

You can create a promotion or accept a promotion recommendation from Amazon. Amazon started recommending lightning deals and best deals in the Vendor Central Marketing tab as a way to get more deals that it prefers. If you don’t see a deal that you want to offer recommended by Amazon, you can still submit a deal for consideration.

Beware of the fees charged by Amazon for deals. Amazon started charging a merchandising fee of $150 to $500 per lightning deal, depending on the time of the deal, plus applicable taxes. Lightning deals on Black Friday or Cyber Monday will cost $500. Another thing to keep in mind is that the merchandising fee and applicable taxes are not reported within the promotions section as “amounts spent.” A deal’s cost will include the discount amount provided to customers, the merchandising fee and taxes. These additional fees encourage deals on products that have a higher average selling price.
